Since 1953, Precise Optics has designed and manufactured X-ray Image Intensifier Systems and components.
Our initial design made binocular viewing possible for fluoroscopy as used on the earliest image systems. Next we developed a light distributor that allowed for a convenient combination of video and cine filming in the first angiographic procedures to use image intensification.
Most optical distributors for current generation image systems are derivative of our original patent.
Today, Precise Optics is the largest dedicated company manufacturing Intensifier Systems in the world. Housed within its 50,000 square foot facility are the latest computerized (CAD/CAM) design and production equipment, and the largest, most experienced staff in the industry. Only the major OEM's rival our capability and sophistication.
Having provided products for over one thousand companies in more than 75 countries, internationally Precise has established a reputation for high quality, knowledgeable service, timely deliveries, and value. Many of our commercial relationships have been in place longer than our competitors have been in business.
High levels of Quality Control and uniformity are assured by fully integrated VAX, NT, and Mac work stations for design, layout, blueprints, inventory control, and computerized numerically-controlled (CNC) machinery. Full 3D solids modeling is a standard part of our production regimen.
A modular concept in System design provides considerable component interchangeability, compatibility, and serviceability.
Our test equipment is the most sophisticated available. Precise not only meets, but exceeds the F.D.A. Quality Systems Regulations (GMP) standards. These regulations require maintaining rigorous record keeping, tool lists, periodic checking of all test fixtures, production jigs, calibration of electronic instrumentation and Dynalizers, and master precision reference tools. Optical comparators, autocollimators, board and cable test fixtures and low resistive high voltage probes are some of the common assembly and examination devices that we use.
Spot Meter instruments for checking image tube conversion and contrast are accurate to 1/4 of 1 degree of angulation to perform these most sensitive tests to exacting Nema and IEC standards. Our Interferometers are able to check the flatness of bounce mirrors and beam-splitters to within 1/2 a wavelength of light.
In instances where we have not been able to purchase test equipment that adequately suits specific requirements we build our own tools. We have built instruments such as infinity focus telescopes, collimators and square wave resolution test patterns for our own use and supplied them to the industry.
All of our products are staged 100% before shipping. Individual components are assembled and checked integrally as a system. Our assembly area contains a half dozen test stands for image tube loading, objective lens and optical component alignment, power supply mounting and calibration. Three separate stands are for mounting and checking of video components, ABS dose control units, digital and film cameras.
Beyond many of the specialized medical applications for which we are best known, Precise has developed Systems that are optimized for Linear Accelerators, operating up to the 10 meV range. Other applications involve highly sophisticated military and industrial Non-Destructive Testing. This includes the only real-time Neutron Image Systems used on research nuclear reactors and for the inspection of difficult-to-visualize corrosion within composite aircraft sections.
Precise Optics has always maintained a philosophy of providing quality products at cost-effective prices. Facility, Capability, Experience, Value. Please call us for your next Imaging System requirement.
